Thiksay monastery Leh is also known as Thikse Gompa. Thiksay Monastery is a Tibetan Style Monastery. Thiksey Monastery located onto top of the mountains, it is roughly 19 Kilometers. The Shanti Stupa holds the relics of the Buddha at its base, enshrined by the 14th Dalai Lama. The stupa has become a tourist attraction not only due to its religious consequence but also due to its location which provides panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
Hemis Monastery is a Himalayan Buddhist monastery (gompa) of the Drukpa Lineagein Ladakh. Hemis Monastery is located at 45 kilometers from Leh Ladakh.
