Thiksay monastery Leh is also known as Thikse Gompa. Thiksay Monastery is a Tibetan Style Monastery. Thiksey Monastery located onto top of the mountains, it is roughly 19 Kilometers. It is situated on the high altitude of 3,600 metres. It is very wonderful for its similarity with Potala Palace of Lhasa. The Thiksey Monastery is painted in red, ochre and white color. Tourist can enjoy excellent view of across the Indus valley flood pains.
